Manisha Mishra, Makeup Artist and Social Entrepreneur shares her Professional and Social Service journey with Hello Mumbai News Correspondent Neha Singh. Notably, Manisha Mishra is professionally a makeup artist and a social entrepreneur who works in an NGO “Hamaraa Mission Dignity” since four years. “Hamaraa Mission Dignity” was established in 2017. It is honored by World Book of Records- London. Neena Goel is the Chairman of the NGO, spread across three States viz: Delhi, Haryana and Maharashtra. She is an honorary Member in this NGO. The NGO team visits slum areas to find children who are underprivileged.
Over and above the NGO takes care of these children by providing complete education free of cost. Manisha Mishra teaches make up courses to the children who are interested in practicing Makeup and make them self independent.
While talking about her journey as a makeup artist, she mentions that she completed her education from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She is from Sports Background. When her Mother was diagnosed with Cancer they shifted to Mumbai for her treatment. While residing in Mumbai she experienced – “that everyone is self independent, so why shouldn’t I?” She had a conversation with some producers and some friend circles too. When they asked her, what work she can do? She replied I have an idea about makeup.
She further says that thinking about Makeup and practically practicing makeup are two complete different aspects. Five years ago, she started her career as a Makeup Artist . Her first Makeup job was with “Crime Patrol”.
While talking on her journey as a Makeup Artist it’s been a roller coaster ride for her. Starting from Crime Petrol to Bollywood its not been that easy for her. There was a tough time in her journey but she didn’t stop. She believes that whatever the situation may be, just start facing it and keep moving ahead.
She has worked with Bollywood artists like Mouni Roy, Tapsee Panu, Udit Narayan, Late Saroj Khan( veteran choreographer) Rani Mukherjii and many other artists.
She had accepted the offer working at Mukesh Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani’s Marriage. She communicates her message by saying “Women should be self independent. If you want to achieve something great you will have to work harder for it. Around you some people will need help so please don’t ignore them instead try to find new ways to help them”.
