Women Social entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce. Entrepreneurs are those adventurous, daredevils who drive deep into the pressing problems of society and try to find solutions to them, not by leaving the responsibilities in the reins of the government or business, but by trying to change systems as whole and persuading societies to take new initiatives.

In our Social Entrepreneur series today we are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Social Entrepreneur of Latur she is known for her remarkable and outstanding performance in social field particular in Inner Wheel Club who always believes in Women Empowerment and social entrepreneurship. Yes, we are talking about Dr. Mamta Joshi, President of Inner Wheel Club of Latur, District 313, she shared her Service and Charity Project with Hello Womeniya Team.

Key Highlights of Service Project:

Project 1: 

On 10th august Inner wheel club Latur Executive Committee member  Mrs Sarika Gandhi  arranged Lunch for patients and their relatives of Vivekanand Cancer Hospital, Latur, considering the Fast of Shravan Somvar, Lado also Distributed among the concerned beneficiaries. Prayer and Wishes were offered for a Speedy recovery of all the patients.

Project 2: 

Club Member Dr. Neeta Maske Patil, Head of the Department and Dr. Sangeeta Deshmukh Madam In charge of Pediatric Department delivered lecture on Breast feeding Mutual benefits for Mother and Child, Guidance of Breastfeeding and Awareness of Breast cancer for Pregnant Women, New Mothers and their Relatives. they explained in detail about Breast Feeding, Mother who Breastfed lower their risk of Pre and post menopausal breast cancer, Breast feeding longer than recommended (6 month) can provide additional protection lowering the risk of ovrian Cancer. the event concluded with distribution of nutritional supplements like peanut chickis, fruits, dry fruits among the participants.

Project 3: 

Elderly female staying with divorced daughter who works as domestic help , having multiple medical problems complains of shivering in winter and rainy season was gifted  Room heater for palliative support and some cash amount for her monthly medicinal expenses by Dr. Mamta Joshi.

Project 4: 

Inner wheel club Latur along with Latur OBGY Society* Had organized a webinar on Breastfeeding – good for my baby good for me. Chief Guest Mrs Dr  Vaidehi Marathe President OBGY Society Nagpur

▪️ Finest Breastfeeding outcomes achieved through Best Lactation practices by Dr Lukmita Pawaskar (Lactational consultant Thane)

▪️ Simplifying Newborn Care and Benefits of Breast feeding sums up to Joyful Motherhood by Dr Neeta Saboo (Paediatrician and Neonatologist)

▪️Nutrition in 4th Trimester by Dr Aditi Phadke Mumbai

3and half hour webinar ,  every thing was explained in detail .. followed by questions and Answers session. More than 218 devices got join, Asha worker in single device 7-8 members joined  New mom  their relatives. Along with this news articles was given and in most Gynac Hospital Practical training was given.

Project 5: 

UPCYCLE DECLUTTER

Project 6: 

2000 Saplings collected from Peth nursery and distributed among club members, sent to Bhadi Grampanchayat, plantation done in and around latur city. This project was done in collaboration with ‘Nehru Yuva Kendre.

Project 7: 

Narcotics and Drugs Awareness and Tobacco cessation Program organized at CRPF Training Centre of Latur. Lecture and guidance delivered by club president Dr. Mamta Joshi as a Resource Person of TCC project of IDA and a trained Tobacco councilor working in collaboration with the Global hospital of Mount Abu. Oath Ceremony for Avoidance and cessation of any habits related to such addictive life style was proctored by the Speaker. Awareness Posters were released for display at various areas of the Training center.

Project 8: 

Club member Mrs. Sandhya Choudhari Ex. Principal of Govt School utilized the opportunity to educate daily wage women workers at Peth nursery regarding the importance of girl child education, she also stressed on facilities from the government regarding the same. Distribution of sweets was done among the beneficiaries.

Project 9: 

Every year we actively contribute for Robinhood army activities like collection and donation grains and left over party food, distribution of educational materials with education regarding basic etiquettes and health hygiene habits. As the beneficiaries stay in temporary sheds of slum areas they benefit a lot from such activities. Similarly, this year on the occasion of club member Reshma Bora’s birthday she donated educational materials, grains, chocolates and biscuits.

Project 10: 

SPORTS ACCESSORIES GIVEN AT BLIND SCHOOL

Brief Introduction of International Inner Wheel:

International Inner Wheel is an international women’s Social organisation to create friendship, service and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. IWC has very strong presence in India. It has more than 3000 thousands clubs in Urban and rural India. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic breaks out Inner wheel club launched charity campaign worldwide. In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this Episode we are introducing very popular face of IWC; she doesn’t need any kind of Introduction.
