Female Social entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce.
Social entrepreneurs are those adventurous, daredevils who drive deep into the pressing problems of society and try to find solutions to them, not by leaving the responsibilities in the reins of the government or business, but by trying to change systems as a whole and persuading societies to take new initiatives.
Social entrepreneurs are making a tangible difference to imprison the lives and economic prospects of India’s most needy people and Communities. Over the last decade Gurugram known as IT hub of North India has seen several positive changes within its society and one of the most exciting is the rise of women Social entrepreneurs.
In our social Entrepreneur series today We are introducing you a very Passionate and popular social Entrepreneur of Gurugram who always belives in Women Empowerment and Social service . Yes we are talking about Meena Saini founder of Jai Foundation.
Meena Saini who is an entrepreneur, social activist and a mother established Jayh Foundation in year 2019. She did her bachelor’s degree in commerce from Jesus and Mary College New Delhi and joined her family business. She says her husband Mr. Sunil Saini, daughter Kritika and son Jayh are the backbone behind all her work. The motivation behind starting her own foundation was to give back to society as she feels emotionally attached to people in need. She is a pro-active member of society looking forward to providing help and love.
She has been constantly working to aid physically handicapped people, children with special needs, visually impaired children and underprivileged people in villages and slums. She was able to mobilize divyangs by sponsoring them wheelchairs, tricycles, medicines, walking sticks, crutches, rollators etc. and ensured that crucial life and vocational skills are taught to make them self-dependent and confident. She also supports old-age homes, blind schools, school for special children and school for underprivileged children by fulfilling their needs as and when required. She also assisted them with special medical therapies for recovery.
Her support goes a long way to help people with disabilities to become a part of the society and to help build a community which is inclusive of them.
She has been actively contributing to promote health and safety of the vulnerable section of our society, especially women and children in urban slums who have limited access to resources, by providing them healthcare facilities and equipment like sanitary pads, N-95 masks, sanitizers, medicines etc. She also took an effort to spread general hygiene awareness among them. During the pandemic, she provided dry ration and utility items to daily wages workers on construction sites and arranged a general health checkup for them and their families for their safety.
She is a strong supporter of girl education and women empowerment. She adopted children from “Welfare Center for Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment” and sponsors annual school fees for students in Gurgaon. She also provides necessary stationery, uniforms, games etc. in various schools. She loves spending time and celebrating festivals with children by organizing frequent public events.
She has always believed in the motto, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving “ by Mother Teresa and has been inspired by it. Bringing a smile is all she looks forward to. Her foundation has been working very closely with other organization and NGOs that have been supporting people with disabilities from lower socio-economic background since many years. They all work towards betterment of society. And she has been and will always be an active member of society.
