India has produced a number of women entrepreneurs in Social field in the recent decades. They have ventured into various domains and widened their arena into many healthcare, branding, Social services, etc. Maharashtra notably has the highest number of women entrepreneurs in India.

Hello Womeniya. Com always has a very corner for the women, and the news portals is working towards the women-empowerment right from the inception. Hello Womeniya’s main objective is to promote women entrepreneurs and create their digital identity on online platform. The woman plays a very important role in our society, she is a housewife, a mother, a friend, a colleague for a long time, and now she also plays the role of businesswoman, entrepreneur and politician. Women have started spreading their wings and there is nothing that can stop them now.
In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you a very dynamic and and popular social Entrepreneur of Inner wheel who firmly believes in Social service and charity work yes we are talking Lora Mitra Rath who is current president of IWC Cuttak Dis 326..She shared her Entrpreuner and Inner wheel Journey with Hello Womwniya Correspondent Ruchika Sawant.
Brief Introduction of Lora Mitra Rath :
Lora Mitra Rath – current president Prestigious Inner wheel club of Cuttack District 326. This club was formed and was presented its charter in 1985. I was inducted in 2012-13 and humbly serving our many charity projects. I have been nominated for Presidency, for two years consecutively, by the members of the club, for my leadership and for the women centric programs that I help to organize and serve.
Inner wheel is a woman organization that is a network of friendship between 104 countries. We, with our plethora of talents, learn from each other by interacting with people from around the globe. We have received local and international recognition for our projects and friendship. Our organization is, essentially, a grass root level organization with most of its service efforts being carried out at the club level. We are recognized as District 326 and in the Association.
I come from a well- known business family of Cuttack. I am a commerce graduate and was a homemaker, till my husband engaged me with his industries. I was the director of Maa Durga Group of Industries, dealing with rice and wheat. I started with CSR work for my company. I had arranged many multi special health camps, and free medicines were distributed to the needy. We have done and still doing a lot of heartfelt work involving children, such as distributing literacy items, regular awareness programs, awarding children for talents and presentations. I am also an active member of Managing Committee of Ramadevi Sishu Bihar, a school for special children at Cuttack.
Recently I have been chosen to be in the core team of WICCI Odisha Mental Health Council working for Positive emotions and wellbeing. Many charity outreach programs and projects are currently being hosted for the Odisha public.
Inner wheel believes in gifting smiles and a sense of peace and satisfaction to society. Not only do we work on educating girls, but also are empowering them with skills that matters.
Service Project during pandemic :
We have installed incinerators, distributed sanitary napkins, installed hand wash platforms, construction of toilets and many more. We regularly contribute winterwears, blankets, shawls, shoes, and essential needs at Orphanages and Kanya ashram. Our work also does not limit itself to orphanages, but also for Senior citizen homes. We celebrate special days, occasions or festivals are spend with them, and arranging lavish lunch and dinner for them. We also help in arranging essential needs time to time. We have successfully contributed smartphones to girls for their education during pandemic when everything started being remote and online. Our club takes the pride in contributing gifts worth Rs 60000/- for a meritorious orphan girl and a commitment to empower her till she completes her graduation.

IWC 326 one of the most important District of Inner wheel having 72 clubs it has a very strong presence in big cities and districts of Odisa and Chhattisgarh, such as Cuttak, Bhubneswar, Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Jabalpur, Katni, Balasore ,Puri, Bastar, Jajpur.This Inner wheel District performed well and did many projects during lockdown ,came forward to support pandemic affected people during this difficult time of Lockdown.
