Brief Introduction Of Mrs. Savitra Nesvi:
Savitra Nesvi
Club – Innerwheel, Vidyanagar Davangere Position – President IWC
District- 316

Mrs. Savitra Nesvi. I am member of Inner wheel from past 10 years. Home maker most of the time, service oriented by nature. Inner wheel is the best platform, when it comes to “Giving back to Society”. All of us the members collectively contribute to our entire social and charity works. Members contribute from their incomes and savings for all of the clubs expenditures. Rotarians in Rotary Club, few non member philanthropists in our community also support for the major contributions and support us for getting things done,.
Our Club is 20 year old with members from different age groups; from 45 years to over 80 years old are also our esteemed members.
Our club actively celebrates all the national days, in remembrance of the special day. On all national days celebrated, club takes care of few of the needy people in the area. Free health checkup camps conducted at the orphanage and old-age home in the clubs locality. Pulse Polio awareness camp held at various places in Davangere. Blood donation camps are held in partnership with Red Cross Society. Free books distributed to the students in nearby village government schools. Twice a year, we members of IWC conduct city cleaning drive and all members take part actively. Food and essentials kits sent to flood affected areas of northern part of Karnataka. As pandemic struck, all our members worked tirelessly in distributing food kits, masks and sanitizers. With Rotarians support we were active in creating awareness about COVID-19 and its affects. As schools were closed, online classes were not accessible to all, because of network and computers. We along with donors distributed tablets to needy students. Every year women achievers are honored in our club on women’s day. These are few of the activities from our club, towards the betterment of society.
The challenges for the IWC are raising enough funds for carrying out as many service projects as possible towards the society. Also convincing citizens to be part of IWC by making them members. With whatever we could manage, we continue impartially to make our world a better place for the future generation
