In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you a very dynamic and and iron lady of Allahabad who firmly believes in Social service and charity work. Yes we are taking about Shalini Asthana Water Conservation/Save water Coordinator of District 312, shared her Charitable projects, professional journey with Hello Womeniya Correspondent Radhika Joshi.

In the 1st Outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic’, Inner wheel club India ensured
Its helping hand in the distribution
of essential items to the needy and poor.
Amid this Covid-19 2nd Wave pandemic, everyone is going through dilemmas and the Inner Clubs are trying to minimise it. Needless to mention Inner wheel club has accomplished numerous significant social projects in medical, vocational, educational, and many other areas of endeavor.
In this Pandemic, they are providing benefits to the needy ones.
Even in the 1st Wave of the pandemic Inner Wheel Club has risen to the grim situation and distributed essential items to the needy and poor.
Brief Introduction of Shalini Asthana :
Shalini Asthana, born on 22nd June to a reputed Srivastava family at Deoria. Father (Late) Mr. Satish Chandra Srivastava was Senior Legal advisor at Sahara India, mother Mrs. Pushpa Srivastava is a homemaker. Mrs. Manisha and Mr. Gaurav are my sister and brother.
As a bright student, Shalini did Bsc . ( bio) and MBA (health care) and scored 1st division. Married to a renowned Neurosurgeon of prayagraj Dr. Sanjaya Asthana. Blessed with two Engineer daughters Meghna pursuing Ph.D. And Anvita is pursuing a master’s degree, from the UK.
She joined the Inner wheel club of Allahabad Udisha in 2011-12.

As a president done many social works for slum area people, orphanage, deaf & dumb, blind, old age people(still doing, opening vocational centers two times (1- udisha vocational center 2- rainbow )
Scholarships to many young girls also helped cancer patients with a brain tumor and primary schools. Samuhik Vivah of 42 pairs, Donated few aspects in that.
Also did many medical camps ( Hepatitis b and checkup camp, orthopedics camp (bone density )checkup, eye camp( with cataract surgery of 60 patients) dental camp, and flood relief medical camps.
Also sent money to Uttarakhand relief fund through dist 312.
Organised celebrity Masterchef winner Mrs. Pankaj bhadauria cookery show and dance night for a fundraising event.
Left no place for charity work and bagged 18 awards as president of her club. Including an outstanding president award.
Best medical projects trophy,
1st Most promising Yuva award of dist 312. She Won an outstanding secretary award and an efficient secretary medal as club secretary. Won the golden treasurer award as treasurer of my club.

Presently, working as water conservation/ save water coordinator 20-21. Made a big submersible water harvesting plant in Tagore town area, sponsored by her.
For attendants of covid patients at SRN hospital distributed food packets and water bottles. Given mask, sanitizer, and PPE kit to AMA by our hospital.
As a health professional, she worked at the hospital for 3 years. Now she is totally devoted to my Innerwheel club and tries to work as well as possible.
She has created a Facebook group of water conservation- save water/ revive water bodies for posting her projects. With mentor and 3 more coordinators
