India has produced a number of women entrepreneurs in Social field in the recent decades. They have ventured into various domains and widened their arena into many healthcare, branding, Social services, etc. Maharashtra notably has the highest number of women entrepreneurs in India.

About Snehal Date :
Mrs. Snehal Date is very much interested in cooking since childhood. She got her Home Science degree from Vidarbha Mahavidyalaya, Amravati. She completed her master’s degree in Home Science from Amaravati University, Amaravati with flying colours. She stood 2nd in merit from Home Science department of Amravati University. Then she joined as a lecturer in Mahila Mahavidyalaya Amravati. After marriage she started her own “Suruchi” cookery classes at Nagpur. These classes were started not only as a hobby but also to encourage young girls and ladies to cook and cook with confidence and perfection. Now a day’s girls don’t get time to learn cooking due to busy schedule. Hence these classes received great response and become popular among ladies. Bridal cooking and Home management classes were also started for them, many of whom benefited from these classes by being able to master art of cooking. It is no startling truth to say that a woman has several roles to play in managing a happy home: housekeeper, cook, nutritionist, interior decorator, tailor, doctor, economist, gardener, and so on. And all the time she has to be the elegant well-groomed hostess. To each role she must bring freshness and ingenuity, and from each role she must derive a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment.
To pursue her culinary interest, she started writing recipes in a food article named “Nyahari” in local newspapers Tarun Bharat and Lokmat. She has complied her recipes of delicious dishes in her book “Alpopahar” to guide youngsters to learn culinary art. She worked for six years as co-ordinator of “Akanksha” Club run by Tarun Bharat.
The club become very popular as it used to undertake innovative and educational programmes for self-employed women group. She used to work with “MITCON” consultancy as a contributory lecture. “MITCON” is a famous consultancy firm based in Pune having its branches all over India. She used to train young entrepreneur and trainees on food preservation and adulteration. These training programmes were conducted by MITCON under ministry of Food processing industry Govt. of India, under entrepreneurship development programme. She has trained about 8000 trainees till date.
She also conducted special programme as such as Tiffin special, Lunch Box which are very popular with various woman cultural groups. Tiffin special cookery show organized by the association of Maharashtra Times cultural Club and Women’s Association Ramnagar received a spontaneous response.
She has also conducted many cookeries shows “zero oil
cooking workshop”, “Low calorie snacks”, “Healthy heart recipes” for Lokmat Sakhi manch women club. In it, traditional, modern, Indian and continental dishes, were presented with artistic invention. She has also given training to various women self-help groups and small- scale industry workers who were given training in soft skill workshops in Coordination with several NGOs. As a nutritionist she emphasised on low calorie cooking.
She was also invited by Maharashtra times & Lokmat Sakhi manch to share her recipes. She was also invited regularly by Lokmat Sakhi manch, Pratibha JCI to Judge the cookery contest held by them. She is an upcoming, innovative outstanding culinary author and is well known for her television shows with Zee TV, Colours Marathi, Sahyandri Channel.
Her articles and recipes have been published in many leading newspapers such as Maharastra Times, Lokmat Samachar and Tarun Bharat. Needless to say, she thrives on her passion for cooking more than anything else! She has created recipes, which are customized and streamlined to suit today’s fast paced life.

Several woman club and Rotary club have chosen Mrs. Snehal Date’s cookery shows among other event of interest to woman through which she wants to develop courses include those for traditional Indian meals, Picnic Packs, Low calorie snacks and wants to invent more nutritious recipes for Tiffin purpose which will be beneficial for future generation. Different type of spices and preservative products which are more shelf life for the upcoming entrepreneurs.
In 2008, a brand of ready to eat snacks owned by PepsiCo ran a recipe contest which was judged by Snehal Date.
In 2010 Step in Kindergarten school in Pune consulted Mrs Snehal Date who Provided a menu to which was handed over to parents as a guide to prepare tiffin for school children.
In 2011 Snehal Date was roped in by Nestle Good Food Good Life campaign to create new desert recipes for their cookery collection book.
On 10 th December 2019 on the occasion of World Human Rights Day Mrs Snehal Date was conferred with Bharat Gaurav Sanman.
Mrs Snehal Date is Secretary of Amhi Udyogini Pratishthan Nagpur chapter, an Organization helping budding woman entrepreneurs. She has given training to women self- help groups working in small scale food industry through MSME.
Crowned as Most Elegant Woman in 2019 by Rokde Jewellers.
She bagged woman’s achiever award in 2019, conferred by Unique clinic in association with Maharashtra times.
