News Input by Radhika Joshi :
Mumbai: 2020-21 has been a very trying time for all of us, but despite all the problems Innerwheel Club Sambhal City, District -310 was able to do many projects for the betterment of our society. Following is the brief information about their projects for the year 2021:
Project -1:- Distribution of Solar lamps, woolens, and stationary…
Our club distributed solar lamps, woolen caps, socks, gloves, food items, and stationery items to the girls of Shri Manorama Inter College, Pawasa(District Sambhal). These girls were from a very poor background and were forced to study in candlelight because of the poor supply of electricity in their town. Their parents were also unable to provide them with study material. That is the reason why our club chose this school for our project.
Project -2:- On the occasion of our District Chairman’s visit, we carried out the following projects:
1.Our Chairman, Mrs. Santosh Sharma Ji inaugurated the banner with HELPLINE NUMBERS (Size- 8*4 Feet) which was put up at the Police Chowki, Shankar Chauraha, Sambhal.

We installed a Sanitary pad vending machine and cleared the doubts these girls had regarding menstruation. Also distributed calcium and iron tablets, pens, and masks, they planted trees in the school premises.

Project -5:- On the occasion of the 72nd Republic day, hosted a Saree Draping competition amongst all the clubs of District 310 to showcase the versatility of our culture. All the clubs took great interest in this competition and made it a very successful event.
Project -6:- Donated a cow dung log-making machine to Surajkund Gaushala under the environment protection project. This machine is very useful for the gaushala as well as the environment. We can make logs out of cow dung with the help of this machine. These logs can be used for havans, eco-friendly cremations, and several other purposes. By using these logs we can reduce the cutting of trees and can help save our Mother Earth.
Project -7:-Charity Haat
Organized a Charity haat at Shehjadi Sarai, Sambhal where they distributed daily need products, clothes, uniforms, school bags, bottles, pencil boxes, toys, fruits, biscuits, woolens, bed sheets, etc., among the underprivileged people.
Project -8:-Members visited an old age home and donated a walker, a BP machine, an oximeter, a glucometer, masks, quilts, fruits, gujiyas and mathris, gulal, etc. The members of our club also played Holi with the residents of that old age home. Together they laughed, sang songs and danced. It gave us immense satisfaction to see them smiling. They were so happy and gave us their blessings. It was indeed a pleasure for all of us.
Project -9:-“Holi ke rang apno ke sang”
created a Holi party for its members. During the event, felicitated the entrepreneurs of their club.
Project -10:-Distribution of face shields, sanitizers, handwash, disinfectant spray, etc. At this time of distress, they decided to distribute face shields, sanitizers, handwash, and disinfectant spray to those who are coming out to serve us. They have no option but to continue working during this pandemic because they need to feed their families. We wanted to help ensure that they are safe when they come to work and therefore, we distributed these items to pathology lab boys, street vendors, and laborers. To our surprise, they were willing to wear these face shields. Today we distributed almost 30face shields and ordered more so that we can keep these people safe.
Project -11:-Marriage of a poor girl
As we all know, India is facing the 2nd wave of Covid 19. We all are struggling with this fear every day but during this stressful time, they got the opportunity to fill happiness in a poor girl’s life. We donated a jewelry set made of silver, a dress for her wedding, and Rs 5100 to support her. We wish her a happy and healthy life ahead.
Project -12:-free consultation
By the grace of God, the number of Covid-19 cases is reducing and many people are recovering from this disease. But people are struggling with its after-effects both mentally as well as physically. This is the time when they need the support of a professional to help them recuperate. Keeping this fact in mind, the club has arranged for a free consultation for all with the help of club editor, Sakshi Bhandula who is a certified nutritionist and lifestyle coach. If you seek her help, you can call her during the given time slot (5-6 PM).
