In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you a very dynamic and and popular social Entrepreneur of IWC District 312, who firmly believes in Social service and charity work yes we are talking about Pooja Dixit president of Inner Wheel Club of Varanasi Swarna Manjari who stepped in for the Charitable projects amid a pandemic.
Brief Introduction of IWC :
International Inner Wheel is an international women’s organisation to create friendship, service, and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. It is a non-profit organization and known for its charity works. Inner wheel club has a very strong presence in India. More than 3,000 clubs are active in urban as well rural areas of India.
Mumbai: The current pandemic crisis has made a huge impact on everyone’s life, there are constant needs just for the necessities to live life, various individuals, organizations, NGOs are stepping in to give their services for the betterment of society similarly Inner wheel as a big community organization they never decline to support needy one in every situation. So Inner wheel club of Varanasi Swarna Manjari following the equivalent paths and assisting people amid a pandemic
Keeping the values and objectives of INNER WHEEL in mind lots of noble projects are undertaken by the members of the clubs to always lend a helping hand to all the people in and around the world.
It does not always matter how much we can help others, but the intention is all that counts. Not many people are privileged to help others on a big scale, but still, they do their best. They contribute even in the little ways they can and that shows the goodness and humbleness present in their heart.
Maintaining this in mind, the members of this club, understood that when a pandemic occurs, we all should come forward hand in hand to help the needy as much as we can. We know that it is not sufficient to help everyone but, as it is rightly said -” Small drops make the mighty ocean” so we decided to contribute and help others as much as we can.
In light of this thought, they distributed masks, sanitizers, face shields, gloves, essential medicines to the local people as well as to the people who were not able to understand the importance of these things like our villagers, hawkers, etc.
In addition to this, they also distributed blankets, edible items like fruits, grains, etc to the poor and needy as we know that a good immunity system is very necessary to fight against Corona.
Moreover, they likewise spread awareness among people by enlightening them about all safety measures, sanitization, vaccination, etc by various means such as posters and webinars.
It gave them inner peace to see that they were able to bring smiles to the faces of many needy people and they wish that all of us can fight against this pandemic and live a happy and safe life again.
