Mumbai based Ngo Archana Foundation launch Vaccination Drive Campaign 500 +people got their shot for covid free world

Amid the deadly Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown induced by it, many people that includes migrant workers and professionals, turned jobless and were reduced to hand-to-mouth situation and even a morsel of food was beyond their reach.

At this trying times, many Ngo’s,
Like Rotary Club, Lions Club, Inner Wheel Club and Social Activists stepped forward to lift the poor and pull them out of their predicament. They reach out to such poor and needy people residing in urban slums, and look to their survival, safety and their health.

One such foundation who rose to help the poor and needy is Archana Foundation, NGo.

Archana Foundation is a Women initiated social and charitable institution founded in the year 2000.

Notably the 350 strong members of Archana Foundation comprising women hailing from prominent business houses in India, based out of Suburban Mumbai determined to do their little bit for the society.

The Club’s activities are focused towards the upliftment and betterment of rural Maharashtra by providing essentials like constructing homes for Adivasis, water supply, running schools, vocational centers, old age homes, anganwadis, free medical camps to name a few.

Therefore, amid the pandemic lockdown period, the role of Archana Foundation along with its partner NGOs, were concentrated to reach out to all households as far as possible, with basic health and hygiene kits for the children and their families.

The worthy Ngo, Archana Foundation as well focused on their awareness generation and advocacy programmes with their target communities and local government bodies, Primarily through occasional home visits and mainly through phone calls and messages, in accordance to maintaining social distancing protocols.

Presently their activities are concentrated towards the upliftment and betterment of rural Maharashtra by providing essentials like building homes for Adivasis, water supply, running schools, vocational centers, old age homes, anganwadis, free medical camps to name a few.

Looking at the current Covid pandemic crisis, Archana Foundation organised a 2-Day Vaccination drive at Praxis Healthcare, a private centre in Juhu, where 510 people were successfully vaccinated in a safe clean environment observing all safety protocols.

Remarkably, prior slot allotments to people ensured a smooth and safe experience for all. The drive was inaugrated by the Foundation’s esteemed Guest & MLA Ameet Satamji.
The core team who made the drive possible comprised Vidyaji Sekhsaria (Managing Trustee), Janhavee Droliya (President – Junior Wing), Renu Kacholia (President – Main Wing), Shashi Khetan (President – Senior Wing), Dr. Rashi Agarwal (Founder – Praxis Healthcare)
